The benefits of membership in the JLM reach even further than providing volunteer services to the community. With a membership of nearly 700 women, we have a rich history of serving the community and developing women’s leadership potential.
Our members find the training they receive as JLM members to be one of the most valuable aspects of their League experience. Members have even used their JLM training – which can range from team leadership to mentoring to communications to fundraising – as a springboard for new careers. JLM members also find professional and personal benefit from the extensive and supportive network of women who comprise our membership.
Our members are busy women who want to give their precious time and energy back to the community. Although the JLM has specific membership requirements, we also recognize the demands of today’s women and value flexibility. It’s true that most of our members join the JLM because they want to become involved in meaningful community service. However, we’ve found that most members stay in the JLM because of the friendships they have developed and the connections they have made. In fact, members often remark that they joined to give back to the community, but the benefits they reaped in return for their voluntarism far exceeded expectations.
Thank you again for your interest in the JLM!
