What is Dinner Club?
Dinner Club was created to build friendships, sell and promote usage of our cookbook, and is a fundraiser for the Junior League of Minneapolis. Members of SEGG creat and test 5 menus for the year from the JL of Minneapolis and JL of Boca Raton cookbooks, then share tips and suggestions with dinner club members.
Groups consist of 5 couples (10 people) or 5 singles-either League members or non-League members. Each couple/single will have the opportunity to host a dinner. In addition to each meal, appetizers, salads and side dishes, and entrée and dessert responsibilities are given to the other club members. Hosting and course assignments will rotate through the year. This is a great way for beginners to start learning to cook, and for experienced culinary artists to show their talents!
How do you join Dinner Club?
You can work with friends (both League members and non-League members) to form your own group or you can complete the Dinner Club registration form and we will assign you to a group. Click here
to download the registration form, or pick one up at JLM Headquarters. Please submit your form to cookbooks@jlminneapolis.org.
What requirements, if any, are needed to be in Dinner Club?
You will need the Junior Leagues of Minneapolis / St. Paul cookbook, Always Superb and the Junior League of Boca Raton cookbook, Savor the Moment, in order to make your dishes for each menu. Both cookbooks are available for purchase at the Junior League of Minneapolis headquarters, as well as many other JL cookbooks. Click here to purchase your copy of Always Superb: Recipes for Every Occasion, and/or click here to purchase your copy of Savor the Moment! Additional recipes may be used from other JL cookbooks, and can be provided.
In addition, there is a Dinner Club participation fee of $15 per person ($30 for couples), and a short registration form to fill out. All proceeds from the Dinner Club registrations and cookbook sales support the projects of the Junior League of Minneapolis.
If you have any questions, please contact the Cookbooks Director.
We hope you’ll join us for Dinner Club!
