Founded in 1923, the Junior League of Minneapolis has a long history of community impact including the Clothes Line from 1950 to 2005 and playing a founding role in Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Free Arts Minnesota, the Jeremiah Program, and much more.
Launched in 2017, 30 Million Words is committed to increasing the number of words heard by low-income children
Reducing the effects of childhood hunger by providing nutritious, easy-to-prepare food over the weekend to children residing in food-insecure homes in the greater Twin Cities area. Health and wellness education is also provided
Strengthening the bond between child and parent/caretaker during a lengthy separation
Engaging and equipping parents with ways to continue math, engineering and science activities at home through hands-on projects
Meeting short-term needs of over 20 community partners by offering ‘done-in-a-day’ shifts to Junior League of Minneapolis members
Bringing the joy and healing power of music to older adults and to those with special needs
Supporting female high school seniors in the quest for higher education and all the opportunities that it can bring
