To be a part of the Junior League of Minneapolis is to be a part of something great. For nearly 90 years, we have fulfilled the Junior League of Minneapolis’ mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our membership-based organization is vibrant, growing, and filled with leaders committed to making Minneapolis and its surrounding areas the best communities they can be.
Our current projects and services, which address child hunger, literacy, childhood nutrition, and the overall health of women and children, are a significant part of our mission. The Junior League is also exceptional in its training of its members of all ages and experience. Through both formal and experiential training, our members gain knowledge in a wealth of areas including leadership, organizational management, strategic planning, community needs, and project management. Our members are committed, involved participants in our Minneapolis community, and you will find them in leadership positions on boards, in both the private and non-profit sectors.
In addition to having an organized way to volunteer to make lasting community change and receive amazing training, the Junior League of Minneapolis provides an unsurpassed network for women. The friendships that are built through the Junior League of Minneapolis, both new and old, are a testament to the strength of our tremendous organization.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our organization. We are proud of our history in making a positive difference in the Minneapolis area since 1923, and I hope that you take a moment to peruse our website to learn more about what we’ve already accomplished, and what new and exciting endeavors we are working on today!
Sincerely,
