Junior League of Minneapolis’ Shop, Save, Share Card
Retailers interested in joining in our Shop, Save & Share Card, please contact the Shop, Save, Share Committee. The deadline for participating in the 2010 Shop, Save, Share Card program is Tuesday August 31st, 2010.
The Shop, Save, Share Card is a discount card sold by the Junior League of Minneapolis (JLM) that shoppers can purchase and use for 10-days at participating businesses. The proceeds from the card go towards benefiting the Twin Cities’ community through JLM projects and training.
How does it work? Individual shoppers purchase a card for $40, which they can use as many times as they wish at the participating retailers during the week the card is valid. Retailers simply provide a 20% discount off full-price merchandise during this time; there’s no back-end percentage tracking to relay to the JLM.
When is it valid? Friday, October 29th, 2010- Sunday, November 7, 2010
Why should my business participate? By partnering with the JLM for this effort, your business receives increased foot traffic for that week as well as publicity both within the League and externally. Our 700+ members will be sure to buy up these cards once they are on sale to give as gifts and for their own use. Our members are a desirable target market for many retailers, restaurants, and services. We gathered information in a survey this spring and of those JLM members who responded, over 75% have an annual income above $100K, 20% own a second home, and over 74% own two or more cars. Nearly 60% have a Bachelor's degree, and about half have children. In addition to tapping into this group of women and their friends and family, you will also be supporting a local non-profit that backs up every dollar with volunteer hours towards the good of our community.
Who benefits from the program?
- Participating Businesses: Businesses will have increased foot traffic, additional positive publicity, and a great start to the holiday shopping season.
- Junior League of Minneapolis: The JLM receives all proceeds from the sale of the card.
- Community Partners: Funds from the sale of the card go back to the many JLM projects throughout the Twin Cities. These include Books 4 Kids, Backpack Buddies, Between the Lines, Kids in the Kitchen, and other projects and trainings that directly change our Minneapolis community for the better.
- Shoppers: They receive 20% off of their purchases just in time for the holidays!
How do I make this happen? You can contact the JLM office at info@jlminneapolis.org or 612-238-8460. An agreement form and participant application need to be completed and received by the JLM by August 31, 2010.
Simply send a signed copy to JLM Headquarters either by fax (612-573-6551) or by mail (Junior League of Minneapolis, 410 Oak Grove Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403).
