Community Partners

We proudly partner with a wide variety of Minneapolis educational institutions and nonprofit organizations in pursuit of meaningful community impact centered around our focus area, including:

Bundles of Love

Established in 2001, Bundles of Love partners with community organizations to assist Minnesota families in need by providing handmade items for newborns.

Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery

A trusted resource for families, the Crisis Nursery offers free services for parents and children. JLM’s efforts on behalf of child abuse led to the development of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, which opened its doors on May 1, 1983.

Minneapolis Public Schools

Minneapolis Public Schools provide students and families tools to make their education successful. MPS creates experiences where learners feel challenged and free to explore the world. They guide students to grow and achieve, wherever they are in their academic journey.

My Very Own Bed

Founded in 2014 as a nonprofit, My Very Own Bed had one goal: to provide new beds to children moving into stable housing. By 2023, they provided more than 7,000 beds and Dream Kits to children ages 2-17 in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs.

Partnership Academy

Partnership Academy’s mission is to create learning experiences and partnerships that empower students to achieve their greatest potential in order to be positive contributors in their community.

Shakopee Women’s Correctional Facility

To strengthen the bond between child and parent/caretaker during a potentially lengthy separation, our Between the Lines program enables female parents/caretakers incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee, MN, to record the reading of a book for their child. When a child hears the book being read in the voice of their caregiver, increased learning and improvement of literacy can take place.

Youth Performance Company

A world-class, award-winning theatre, Youth Performance Company develops and empowers young actors, singers, and dancers to reach their artistic potential and become community leaders. Many of YPC’s artists have gone on to professional careers in the arts or have used their experiences to become leaders in our community.
