Only Hope: My Mother and the Holocaust Brought to Light
Irving Lubliner will be joining us to discuss Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust.
Before she died in 1974, Felicia Bornstein Lubliner wrote about her life in Nazi-occupied Poland during the Holocaust, including her internment in ghettos and two concentration camps, Auschwitz and Gross-Rosen. Her powerful stories have been published by her son, Irving, who also contributed the foreword and afterword to Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust. He will share excerpts, shedding light on her fortitude and indomitable spirit, as well as his own experience as a child of Holocaust survivors and his process in bringing the book to fruition. He will pause during and after his presentation to invite questions.
Irving Lubliner, Professor Emeritus at Southern Oregon University, taught mathematics for 40 years—at all levels, kindergarten through graduate school. Since retiring in 2014, he has published his mother’s writings and dedicated himself to sharing her powerful Holocaust stories through hundreds of presentations for teen and adult audiences nationwide.
This event will be virtual.
